FIX: Notification Services does not back up the existing schedule data and time zone data in the Notification Services application database when you run the NSControl Update command (870658)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Notification Services 2.0 SP1
Bug#: 147265 (SQL BU Defect Tracking)SQL BU Defect Tracking:147265 SYMPTOMSAfter you modify the subscription class for an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Notification Services that supports scheduled subscriptions, the tables that correspond to the subscriptions, schedules, and time zones are re-created in the application database when you run the NSControl Update command to update the instance. The existing subscription data is backed up in the NS<SubscriptionClassName>SubscriptionsOld table. However, the schedule data and the time zone data are not backed up. Therefore, the existing schedule data and time zone data are lost. Note The subscription data, schedule data, and time zone data for an instance of Notification Services are stored in the following tables in the application database: - NS<SubscriptionClassName>Subscriptions
- NS<SubscriptionClassName>Schedules
- NS<SubscriptionClassName>TimeZones
Note <SubscriptionClassName> is a placeholder for the name of the subscription class that you modified.
