back to the topIssues that are fixed in the hotfix package
The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package:
842776 Word 2003 searches all the mounted personal folder (.pst) files when you perform a mail merge in Word 2003 by using the Outlook 2003 Contacts folder
842521 You cannot view the presentation past the first slide when you open your PowerPoint 2003 presentation in Internet Explorer from an FTP Web site
843244 Some of the slide show objects are missing or the background color changes to black when you play a slide show in PowerPoint 2003
The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix package, but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- When you use a COM add-in that uses the DocumentChange event that updates a toolbar, the toolbar may not redraw correctly when the event occurs. If you move the mouse pointer over the toolbar, the toolbar buttons redraw correctly.
This problem may occur if you have the Adobe Acrobat PDFMaker add-in installed.
- When you rapidly change between ActiveX controls (XML tags) in a smart document in Microsoft Office Word 2003, Word 2003 may quit unexpectedly, and you receive the following error message:

This problem may occur if both of the following conditions are true:- There are a large number of the XML tags in the Word 2003 document.
- You use the arrow keys to scroll through the document.
- When you try to open a Microsoft Office file from a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site in the Web view by using the keyboard commands, the file does not open when you press ENTER. Instead, your Office program quits unexpectedly, and you receive the following error message, where <program> is the Office program that you are using.:
