The drive letter of a shared cluster disk does not appear when you fail over a virtual machine in Virtual Server 2005 (840612)

SYMPTOMSWhen you fail over a cluster node that you configured by using a virtual machine in Microsoft Virtual Server 2005, one or more of the following symptoms may occur: - The drive letter of the shared cluster drive does not appear in My Computer on the virtual machine.
- The drive letter of the shared cluster drive changes to a question mark.
- The partition properties that are displayed for the shared cluster drive are incorrect.
If you log off the virtual machine and then log back on, the shared cluster drive appears correctly. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, log off the virtual machine and then log back on.STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based server clusters and in Microsoft Windows 2000-based server clusters.
