Text does not appear or the pointer disappears when you use the Audio Recording See Playback feature in OneNote 2003 (840009)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Audio Recording See Playback feature in Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 to select each item that you created during the recording, the text does not appear or the pointer disappears.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because OneNote 2003 does not scroll the off-screen text into view when you are working in pen mode.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
  • Change to selection mode before you start the playback. To do this, point to Drawing and Writing Tools on the Tools menu, and then click Selection Tool. Also, you can switch to selection mode. To do so, click the pen icon on the toolbar.
  • Manually scroll the OneNote 2003 note page to find the selected note during the audio playback.
