FIX: You may receive a "System.Data.VersionNotFoundException" error message when you update a DataTable that contains a calculated column (839889)

SYMPTOMS

When the AcceptChanges method of a DataSet is called, you may receive the following error message:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.VersionNotFoundException' occurred in system.data.dll Additional information: There is no Original data to access.

This problem occurs when all the following conditions are true:

The DataSet contains a DataTable that has a calculated column.
One new row has been added to the DataTable.
An existing row in the DataTable has been modified.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
