FIX: The BizTalk Messaging Service may close unexpectedly if the number of file or Message Queuing receive functions is more than 64 in BizTalk Server 2002 (839830)

SYMPTOMS

If more than 64 file receive functions or Microsoft Message Queuing receive functions are configured in one BizTalk Server 2002-based server, the BizTalk Message Service on the server may close unexpectedly because of an access violation.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
