back to the topIssues that are fixed in the hotfix package
The
following issues are fixed in this hotfix package:
834716 Description of the Outlook 2003 hotfix package: May 20, 2004
838896 E-mail messages that you read in a public folder remain marked as unread in Outlook 2003
843180 If you try to perform a function after you run a script in Outlook 2003 that connects an Outlook 2003 Calendar folder that belongs to another user to your calendar, Outlook 2003 quits unexpectedly
887409 The offline Address Book may not download successfully in Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003
843191 Outlook 2003 stops responding when you try to plan a meeting that contains users who are behind a firewall
The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
Your mailbox is moved from a server that is running Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server to an Exchange 2000 Server or Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 server by using the Move Mailbox Wizard in Exchange System Manager. If your Outlook 2003 profile is configured to use Exchange Cached Mode, you may experience one or both of the following symptoms when you log on to Exchange Server by using Outlook 2003:
- A delay occurs before you are connected to Exchange Server for the first time after your mailbox is moved from Exchange 2000 Server to Exchange Server 2003.
- Outlook 2003 tries to connect to the Exchange 2000 server on which your mailbox was previously stored.
- After a delay, Outlook 2003 eventually connects to the Exchange Server 2003 server on which your mailbox is currently stored.
- Outlook cannot retrieve the name for the new server. Instead, Outlook tries to connect to the Exchange 2000 Server server on which your mailbox was previously stored. This operation fails. Additionally, Outlook goes into a disconnected state.
Note The MAPI profile is not automatically updated to point to the new Exchange Server 2003 computer.
