Your Calendar items do not appear in the Calendar Web page when you use the Save as Web page feature in Outlook 2000 (839532)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Save as Web page feature in Microsoft Outlook 2000 to save your Calendar as a Web page, your Calendar items are not saved in the Web page.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if your computer has the following configuration:
  • The English version of Microsoft Windows 2000 with the French input locale installed.
  • The English version of Microsoft Office 2000 with the French Multilanguage Pack installed.
  • Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 2 installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must reset the format of the short date in the Short date format list. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Regional Options.
  4. In the Regional Options dialog box, click the Date tab, and then click dd/MM/yyyy in the Short date format list.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Start Outlook, and then open Calendar.
  7. On the File menu, click Save as Web Page.
  8. Under the Duration area in the Save as Web Page page, click the date that you want your Web page calendar to start in the Start Date list, and then click the date that you want your Web page calendar to end in the End Date list.
  9. In the Options area, click to select the Include appointment details check box.
  10. In the Save as area, type the name that you want to give to the Web page file in the File name box, and then click Save.
  11. Close the Web calendar, and then quit Outlook.
  12. In the Regional Options dialog box, click the Date tab, click yyyy-MM-dd in the Short date format list, and then click Apply.
  13. Start Outlook, and then open Calendar.
  14. Follow steps 7 through 10 to save the calendar as a Web page with the correct short date format.
