A Web log import URI query fails when a string is specified as "to" (839433)

SYMPTOMS

When you perform a Web log import Data Transformation Services (DTS) task by using a uniform resource identifier (URI) query string that is specified as "to," the task is not successful, and the following error messages are logged in the application event log:

Message 1
Prepare Reports DTS task : Error -2147217900 (CSDW_MakeSVQueryStringFactTable: Invalid object name 'SVQueryStringTempView'.)
Message 2
Prepare Reports DTS task : Error -2147217900 (CSDW_MakeSVQueryStringFactTable: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'to'.) Prepare Reports DTS task : failed to complete

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.   1. Execute Microsoft SQL Server SQL Query Analyzer.
  2. Log on to the computer that is running SQL Server.
  3. Select the Data Warehouse database.
  4. On the File menu, click Open, click 839433.sql, and then click OK.
  5. Execute the stored procedure.
