The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office XP Document Imaging
- Microsoft Office Word 2003
- Microsoft Word 2002 Service Pack 2 (SP-2)
- Microsoft Word 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP-1)
- Microsoft Word 2002
SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tool
that is available in Microsoft Office Document Imaging to copy text from a
paper document to a Microsoft Word 2002 or to a Microsoft Office Word 2003
document, the format of the text may change. For example, the font type, the
font size, and the alignment of the text may change.CAUSEThe OCR tool that is available in Office Document Imaging
may not recognize all text format styles that are present in the source
document image. Therefore, after you copy the text from a document image to a
Word 2002 document or to a Word 2003 document, you must manually format the
text.
