Manual workflow rules are not sorted alphabetically when you try to apply the manual workflow rules by using the Microsoft CRM Web client or by using the Outlook client (839164)

SYMPTOMS

When you create manual workflow rules in Workflow Manager, you can sort the manual workflow rules alphabetically. However, when you try to apply the manual workflow rules by using the Microsoft CRM Web client or by using Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook (the Outlook client), the manual workflow rules are not sorted alphabetically.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Business Solutions Technical Support to obtain the hotfix. You can log on to the Microsoft Business Solutions Support site and create a new support request. The feature that is included in this hotfix shares e-mail activity to all Microsoft CRM user recipients. The feature in this hotfix also selects one Microsoft CRM user recipient as the owner of the e-mail activity.

Installation information

Install this hotfix on computers that are running the Microsoft CRM 1.2 client software or the Microsoft CRM 1.2 server software.

Prerequisites

To install this update, Microsoft CRM 1.2 must be installed.

Removal information

To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003, use the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.

System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe utility to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003. The Spuninst.exe utility is located in the following folder:

%Windir%\$NTUninstallKB839164$\Spuninst
