SYMPTOMS
After you install Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) on a computer where the Indexing Service program is installed and configured, the content indexing functionality may stop unexpectedly. When this problem occurs, you may receive one or more error messages that are similar to the following error message:
cidaemon.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77fcc97c" referenced memory at "0xfffffff8". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
