The Restore Defaults button that was located in the Buttons settings of the Personal tab under the Settings section was removed because of limited screen space available on the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software for Pocket PC. This behavior is by design.

By default, settings are different for each device manufacturer. The number of buttons can also vary for each device. Each button on the device will have an icon that represents the default action.

To change the Buttons settings, follow these steps:
  1. Tap Start, and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap the Personal icon, and then tap the Buttons icon.
  3. Tap the button that you want to change from the list of available buttons, and then tap the application that you want to assign to that button in the Button Assignment list.
