SYMPTOMSWhen you use the screen reader tool to read the text of
objects that you created in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 slide, you may
experience that the screen reader tool does not read the objects in a logical
order.CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the objects are not placed in
Z-order.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, put the objects in Z-order. To do
so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to
Programs, point to Microsoft Office, and then
click Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003.
- Open the slide that contains the objects.
- Right-click the first object to be read on the slide, point
to Order, and then click Bring to Front.
- Right-click the second object to be read on the slide,
point to Order, and then click Bring to
Front.
- Repeat step 4 on the other objects on the slide in the
order that you want the objects to be read.
Note Make sure that you click the border of the object, not a part of
the object. REFERENCESFor more information about how to arrange the objects, click
Microsoft Office PowerPoint Help on the Help
menu, type objects in the Search for box in
the Assistance pane, and then click Start to
view the topic.
