You cannot create a Network File System (NFS) shared folder by using the Server Appliance Kit Web UI (836832)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot create a Network File System (NFS) shared folder by means of the Microsoft Server Appliance Kit Web UI. When you try to create a shared folder this way, the shared folder is not created and does not appear on the [Shares] tab of the Web UI.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to the computer that is running Network Access Server (NAS). You can log on either locally or through a Terminal Services session.
  2. Create the NFS shared folder by means of the Web UI.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
