- Microsoft Content Management Server 2002
SYMPTOMSWhen you install a Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 Authoring Connector language pack on a computer that also has Microsoft Office installed, the language setting for your installation of Authoring Connector is different from the language setting for Microsoft Office.CAUSEDuring Office installation, the following registry key is incorrectly configured: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/<version_number; for XP = '10.0'>/Common/LanguageResources/UILanguage Originally, the key value is set to 0, meaning that the language setting is the same as the system. This setting causes the language pack to be incorrectly configured when the Authoring Connector installation reads the language setting. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, use the Microsoft Office Language Settings tool to set the language setting for Microsoft Office correctly so that the language setting will be read correctly when the Authoring Connector language pack is installed. - Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Microsoft Office.
- Click Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Language Settings.
- When the dialog box opens, click the Enabled Languages tab.
- In the Choose the language that defines default behavior in Microsoft Office applications list, select the language setting that you want for Office.
- Click OK.
- Restart all Office applications.
