SYMPTOMS

You may not be able to synchronize the time of the virtual machine's operating system with the time of the physical computer's operating system.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
  • You run any one of the following operating systems on the virtual machine:
    • IBM OS/2
    • Novell NetWare
    • Linux
    • BSD UNIX
    • Sun Solaris
  • A time synchronization tool is not installed on the virtual machine's operating system.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install a time synchronization tool for the operating system that you are running on the virtual machine. The following list contains information about where you can obtain time synchronization tools for the operating system that you are running on the virtual machine:
