SUMMARY
This article contains information about how to view and how to manage site collection users on the portal site in Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003.
The
Manage Site Collection Users Web page (Siteusrs.aspx) that you use to view and to manage site collection users on the portal site is not exposed in the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 user interface. This article describes two methods that you can use to view and to manage site collection users in SharePoint Portal Server 2003.

You must manually connect to the
Manage Site Collection Users page to use the
Manage Site Collection Users page. To connect, type the following address in the
Address bar of your Web browser, and then press ENTER:
http://ServerName/_layouts/1033/Siteusrs.aspx
In the address,
ServerName is the name of the server that is running SharePoint Portal Server 2003. To determine whether a user is a site collection administrator, view the
Site collection administrator entry for that user.
- If the user is a site collection administrator, the value is Yes.
- If the user is not a site collection administrator, the value is blank.
To edit the properties of a user, click the name of the user, and then click
Edit User Information on the
User information: UserName page.

To determine whether a user is a site collection administrator, view the
User information page for that user. Follow these steps:
- Connect to the portal site, and then click Site Settings.
- On the Site Settings page, click Manage security and additional settings under General Settings.
- On the Manage security and additional settings page, click Show user information under Users and Permissions.
- On the User information page, click the name of the user who you want to view.
- On the User information: UserName page, view the Site collection administrator entry.
- If the user is a site collection administrator, the value is Yes.
- If the user is not a site collection administrator, the value is blank.
To edit the properties of a user, click Edit User Information.
