Live TV Has No Sound After Setup in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 (831062)

SYMPTOMSThe first time that you click the Live TV
button, the TV image is present but there may be no sound.
This
problem occurs only if you click Live TV immediately after you
complete the first run experience to set up Microsoft Windows XP Media Center

work around this issue, use the remote control and follow these steps:
- Exit Media Center by
selecting Exit in the Media Center user interface.
- Rerun Media Center by pressing the Windows Media Center
Start button.
- Return to Live TV by pressing the Live TV button.
The loss of sound occurs only one time. You can view Live TV
later as expected. STATUSMicrosoft
