Banner Page Always Prints When a Service That Must Print to a Novell NetWare Print Queue Sends a Print Job (830675)



The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP4

SYMPTOMS

When a service sends a print job, the banner page always prints if the following conditions are true:
  • You have upgraded from Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) to Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4).
  • The service that sends the print job must print to a Novell NetWare print queue by using Gateway Service for NetWare or Client Services for NetWare.

CAUSE

By default, when Gateway Service for NetWare or Client Services for NetWare detects that the logon request to a Novell NetWare server is coming from a service, the default print options are:
  • No Form Feed
  • Notify when Printed
  • Print Banner
