In Microsoft Works for Windows, the Patterns & Colors dialog box in the charting module lists only Auto, Black, and White in the Colors box. This occurs if the following conditions exist:
- The Display As Printed option is selected.
- The default printer selected in the Windows Control Panel is
NOT capable of printing color.
NOTE: The chart is also displayed in black and white on the screen.
RESOLUTION
Use the following instructions for your version of Works.
NOTE: If your printer is not a color printer, the chart still prints
and previews in black and white.
Works 3.0 and Works for Windows 95- On the View menu, click Display As Printed to disable
this option.
The Format Patterns & Colors dialog box should now list
all the screen colors available.
Works 2.0- Clear the Display As Printed command in the Options
menu.
The Format Patterns & Colors dialog box should now list
all the screen colors available.
