Local Domain Is Not Found When You Click to Select the Search Local Domain Check Box in the Network Discovery Properties Dialog Box (829855)

SYMPTOMS

When you click to select the Search local domain check box on the Domains tab in the Network Discovery Properties dialog box, the local domain will not be searched.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you must add the local domain to the Domains list on the Domains tab in the Network Discovery Properties dialog box. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, click Systems Management Server, and then click SMS Administrator Console.
  2. In the Systems Management Server Administrator Console, expand Site Database, expand Site Hierarchy, expand site name, and then expand Site settings.
  3. Click Discovery Methods, and in the right pane, right-click Network Discovery, and then click Properties.
  4. In the Network Discovery Properties dialog box, click the Domains tab.
  5. On the Domains tab, add the local domain to the Domains list.
  6. Click OK two times to close the Network Discovery Properties dialog box.
