Organization Chart Shapes (Masters) Extend Off Visio 2003 Drawing Page (829777)

SYMPTOMS

If you rename an Organization Chart shape (master) and then add other shapes to your Microsoft Office Visio 2003 drawing, the shapes that you add may extend off the drawing page.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if either of the following conditions is true:
  • You rename a master with Japanese characters and you include a space as part of the master name.
  • You programmatically rename a master.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, when you rename the Organization Chart shape (master) with Japanese characters do not use a space as part of the shape name.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
