Saving Web presentations ignores the default file location that is specified in PowerPoint 2000 (829767)

a remote Web folder and the default file Save location for PowerPoint 2000 is a
different remote shared folder, when you click Save as on the
File menu, the file path is now a folder in your Temporary

After you install this hotfix, follow the steps that are listed in the "More Information" section of this article to set the QFE9118_SaveAsPathDefault registry key and to activate the hotfix.
