You cannot use the Visio 2003 Organizational Chart Wizard to import UTF-8 encoded text (829720)

SUMMARYYou cannot use the Microsoft Office Visio 2003
Organizational Chart Wizard to import UTF-8 encoded text.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Visio 2003 import feature
only supports Unicode and ANSI encoded text.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use Microsoft Notepad to change
the text encoding to a supported text format. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to
Programs, point to Accessories, and then
click Notepad.
- On the File menu, click
Open.
- Locate your UTF-8 text document.
- Click this file, and then click
OK.
- On the File menu, click Save
As.
- In the Encoding list, click either
ANSI or Unicode.
- Click Save.
- On the File menu, click
Close.
Your document is now in a supported file format and can be
imported in to Visio 2003. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section of this article.
