Date in Gantt Chart uses incorrect format in Visio 2003 (829363)

SYMPTOMS

When you work with a Gantt Chart, dates (such as a column heading date) may be incorrectly formatted as yyyy mm instead of mm yyyy.

CAUSE

This problem may occur on a computer that is configured to use the Hebrew language regional settings.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Note You may have to perform use these methods every time that you work with a Gantt Chart.

Method 1: Change the language of the text

To change the language of the text that contains the incorrect date format, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the Gantt Chart shape that contains the incorrect date format, point to Format, and then click Text.
  2. On the Font tab, click Hebrew in the Language box, and then click OK.

Method 2: Change the format of the date

To change the format of the date in a shape, follow these steps:
  1. View the ShapeSheet for the shape that contains the incorrect date format. To view the ShapeSheet, click the shape that contains the incorrect date format, and then click Show ShapeSheet on the Window menu.
  2. Change the User.PriScaleCellTextFormat format and the User.SecScaleCellTextFormat format to match the date format that you want.
