Choose Drawing Type Template Pane Closes When You Carry Out Any Help Command (829226)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Office Visio 2003, the Choose Drawing Type template pane is open. If you then carry out any command on the Help menu, the Choose Drawing Type template pane closes and does not reopen when the Help pane is closed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because when any Visio command is run, the template pane is closed before the command is executed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, you can reopen the Choose Drawing Type template pane. To reopen the Choose Drawing Type template pane, on the File menu, point to New, and then click Choose Drawing Type.
