Outlook 2002 does not automatically send or receive e-mail messages when you start Outlook 2002 (829168)

SYMPTOMSWhen you start Microsoft Outlook 2002, Outlook 2002 does not
automatically send or receive e-mail messages.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because Outlook 2002 is not configured
to automatically send or receive e-mail messages when you start the
program.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, configure Outlook 2002 to
automatically send or receive e-mail messages when you start the program. To do
so, follow these steps:
- Start Outlook 2002.
- On the Tools menu, point to
Send/Receive Settings, and then click Define
Send/Receive Groups.
- Under the When Outlook is Online area,
click to select the Schedule an automatic send/receive every
x minutes check box, where
x is the number of minutes that Microsoft Outlook
waits to do a background send or receive when you start the program.
- Click Close, and then restart Outlook
