High Network Utilization and Many .sha Files are Backlogged When You Add Many Secondary Sites (828400)

CAUSE

This problem occurs because, when you create a new secondary site to the child primary site, all packages at both the child primary site and at the central primary site replicate the list of packages to the new secondary site. This can cause high network utilization during the replication. Additionally, if the Distribution Manager stops while it is processing the package data, it restarts sending the package data from the most recent package, and then it sends the earlier packages. When it does this, it may process package information that it has previously processed. As a result, Distribution Manager may not be able to completely process all the .sha files that are created because of secondary site installations before the SMS Executive restarts. Because .sha files are not removed until they are all processed, .sha files build up. The same files are processed repeatedly.
