Lowercase Greek Letters That You Insert by Using an East Asian IME Are Converted to Uppercase Letters (827869)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
- Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003
SYMPTOMSWhen you use an East Asian Input Method Editor (IME) to insert lowercase Greek letters in your Microsoft Office Visio 2003 drawing, you may find that the lowercase letters are automatically converted to uppercase letters.
For example, if you use the Japanese IME to input Hiragana characters in your Visio 2003 drawing by using the ARROW keys to select a lowercase "?" character (without the quotation marks) from the Candidate list, and then pressing ENTER to insert the character in your drawing, the lowercase "?" is automatically converted to an uppercase "A" (without the quotation marks).CAUSE This problem occurs because the AutoCorrect feature in Microsoft Visio automatically converts the letters to uppercase when you input lowercase Greek letters in your Visio drawing by using an East Asian IME. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do one of the following: - On the Edit menu, click Undo AutoCorrect.
-or- - Click the Undo button.
STATUS
