SYMPTOMS
After you install Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1), you may receive an error message that is similar to the following when the SQL background processing job runs:
Error Msg: "Server: Msg 2627, Level
14, State 1, Procedure bgp_DeleteDanglingACL, Line 62 Violation of PRIMARY KEY
constraint 'PK__@danglingACL__312B1A7E'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object
'#3036F645'. MCMS Background Processing - Purging deleted rights groups from
container ACLs - started The statement has been terminated. MCMS Background
Processing - Purging deleted rights groups from container ACLs -
failed"
The primary key name and the object name may vary because the names depend on the ad-hoc names that are assigned to them.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Content Management Server 2002 service pack that contains this hotfix.
