The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2003

SYMPTOMS

In Outlook 2003 when Microsoft Office Word 2003 is your e-mail editor, and you try to create a custom toolbar, and then put the custom toolbar to the left of the e-mail toolbar, the custom toolbar may not retain its location setting in new e-mail messages. When you open a new e-mail message, the toolbar may appear on the line above the e-mail toolbar, instead of to the left of the e-mail toolbar.

Note This issue does not occur if the custom toolbar is placed to the left of any other toolbar.
