Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows XP service pack that contains this hotfix.

WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, change the startup type of the Terminal Services service to
Automatic on your computer. To do so, follow these steps:
- Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
- Expand Services and Applications.
- Click Services, and then double-click Terminal Services in the right pane.
- In the Startup type list, click Automatic.
- Under Service status, click the Start button, and then click OK.
