  2. On the Help menu, click Detect and Repair.
  3. Click Start when you receive the following message:

'Detect and Repair...' will automatically find and fix errors in all Office files.

During this process, you may be asked to provide the installation source and/or exit open applications.

Method 2: Run the Office OneNote Setup Program

  1. Quit OneNote 2003.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. In the Currently installed programs list, click Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, and then click Change.
  5. Click Reinstall or Repair, and then click Next.
  6. Click Detect and Repair errors in my OneNote installation, click to select the Restore my Start Menu Shortcuts check box, and then click Install.
  7. Click OK to complete the repair process.
