SYMPTOMSIf you are running Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac under Mac OS 9, you may experience various memory errors when you start Virtual PC or if your computer stops periodically when you are using Virtual PC.CAUSEThis issue may occur if you have Virtual Memory turned on or if there is a problem with the physical memory (RAM) in the Macintosh computer.RESOLUTIONTo determine why the issue is occurring, turn off Virtual Memory. To do so, follow these steps: - On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Memory.
- Under Virtual Memory, click Off.
- On the File menu, click Quit.
- Restart the Macintosh computer.
If the problem is not resolved after you turn off Virtual Memory, you may have a problem with your physical DIMMS or SODIMM memory chips. To determine if your physical memory is at fault, contact your local authorized Apple dealer or repair technician.
