-39 Error Message When You Click a Virtual PC Drive Package File (825411)

SYMPTOMS

When you click a Virtual PC drive package file (.vhdp file) in the Mac OS 9.2 finder, you may receive the following error message:
-39 error

CAUSE

This issue may occur if either of the following conditions are true:
  • You do not have Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac installed on your computer.
  • You had Virtual PC for Mac installed, but you have since removed Virtual PC for Mac from your computer.
