Cannot Install a BeOS Guest PC in Virtual PC (824982)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot create a BeOS guest PC in Virtual PC. During the BeOS installation process, Virtual PC stops responding (freezes).

CAUSE

This issue occurs because of the way that the BeOS operating system handles computer hardware timing. This makes the BeOS operating system incompatible with a virtualized or an emulated computer system.
