Slower Performance Occurs After You Install Virtual PC 5.0.3 on Mac OS X (824970)

SYMPTOMS

You may experience slower performance on your computer after you install Virtual PC 5.0.3 under Apple Mac OS X.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because there is a feature in Virtual PC 5.0.3 that controls CPU performance under Mac OS X. If these controls are lowered, you may notice a drop in performance. The CPU Usage controls prioritize CPU usage when Virtual PC is running.

RESOLUTION

This problem has been corrected in later versions of Virtual PC. To resolve the problem, upgrade to Virtual PC 5.0.4.
