SYMPTOMS

When you try to watch LIVE TV, your Windows XP Media Center Edition computer spontaneously restarts.

CAUSE

This issue may occur on systems that have video cards that use the NVIDIA chipset because of issues related to multithreaded DirectX 7 applications.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download and install the latest version of DirectX. To download the latest version of DirectX, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
