PIP 2002: Text Is Offset When You Print Business Cards (824896)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print or preview business cards in Microsoft Picture It! Publishing, the text may be offset or off the page.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the print driver is not compatible with multilayered images.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change the information to a single layer. If the information is in one layer, for example a graphics file, the information prints correctly. To change the information to a single layer, follow these steps:
  1. Start Picture It!, and then open the project.
  2. On the File menu, click Save As.
  3. Under Save as this type:, click JPEG File Interchange Format.
  4. Type a name for your project, and then click Save.
  5. Close your current project, and then start a new blank business card project.
  6. Click Add Something, point to Picture, cutout, or clip, and then click From My computer.
  7. Locate the JPEG file that you saved in step 4.
  8. Click the image, and then click Add.
  9. Adjust the image on the business card.
  10. Print the project.
