Virtual PC Stops Responding After You Restart When You Create the New Guest in Virtual PC for Mac (824658)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Windows XP for the first time after you create the new guest in Virtual PC for Mac version 5.0, the virtual machine may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the name of the computer is changed during the first start setup procedure.

RESOLUTION

This behavior is fixed in Virtual PC Additions. Virtual PC Additions is included with the updater for Virtual PC for Macintosh version 5.0.3, or later.
