Cannot Switch Between Japanese and English Input by Using Apple Japanese JIS 106 Keyboard (824633)

SYMPTOMS
You cannot switch between Japanese and English input on a Windows-based virtual machine by using the HANKAKU/ZENKAKU key or by pressing ALT + ` because your Apple Japanese JIS 106 keyboard does not have these keys.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use the equal sign (=) key on the keypad to switch between Japanese and English input in your virtual machine.
