SYMPTOMS
You cannot press COMMAND+OPTION+DELETE to simulate pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Therefore, you cannot press COMMAND+OPTION+DELETE to log on to Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003. This may be an issue if your keyboard does not have a DEL key.
Note If your keyboard has a DEL key, you can press CONTROL+OPTION+SHIFT+DELETE to simulate pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE. CAUSE
This issue occurs because the DELETE key maps to functions differently for the Apple Mac operating system and the Microsoft Windows operating systems: - DELETE is the Macintosh equivalent of BACKSPACE in Windows.
- DEL is the Macintosh equivalent of DELETE in Windows.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, press COMMAND+OPTION+SHIFT+DELETE to simulate CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
