The Time of the Guest Operating System Is Not Synchronized With the Time of the Host Operating System (824506)
The information in this article applies to:
- Connectix Virtual PC for Windows version 5.2
- Connectix Virtual PC for Windows version 4.0
SYMPTOMSYou may not be able to synchronize the time of the
operating system on the guest PC with the time of the operating system of the
host PC where Virtual PC is installed. CAUSEThis issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
- You run any of the following operating systems on the guest
PC:
- IBM OS/2
- Novell NetWare
- Linux
- BSD UNIX
- Sun Solaris
- A time synchronization tool is not installed on the
operating system of the guest PC to synchronize the time of the guest PC with
the time of the operating system of the host PC where Virtual PC is
installed.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, obtain and install a time
synchronization tool for the operating system that you are running on the guest
PC. The following list contains information about where you can obtain time
synchronization tools for the operating system that you are running on the guest
PC:
