You Receive an Error Message When You Install MCMS 2002 SP1 (824485)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and you have a Microsoft Internet Explorer window or other windows open, you may receive a "Files In Use" error message. There is one line in the error message for each window that you have open on your desktop. For example, the following line may be included in the error message:
The page cannot be found - Microsoft Internet Explorer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click Retry or Ignore in the error message to resume the installation. This message does not affect the installation of MCMS 2002 SP1.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
