Run-Time Error When You Connect Site Manager to an SSL Environment (824473)

SYMPTOMS

When you connect Site Manager to a Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) computer over a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection, and no server certificates are installed on the client computer, you may receive the following error messages.

MCMS 2002:
Script error:
An error has occurred in the script on this page. The script operation has been canceled.
[line 39, column 1]: Could not get description for error 800c000e
MCMS 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
Could not log into Microsoft Content Management Server. Please see the details tab.
Error: 0
Description: The underlying connection was closed. Could not establish trust relationship with remote server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install a client certificate on the Site Manager client computer.
