SYMPTOMSWindows Media Player (the player) may not appear in full-screen mode when all the following conditions exist: - When you try to play a video in full-screen mode.
- When you have configured the player for multiple monitors.
- When the monitors are
configured with different screen resolutions.
- When the player is on a
secondary monitor.
Note When you view the
video on the primary monitor and you run the player in full-screen mode, the behavior is as expected.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this
problem, set all monitors to the same screen resolution and to the same screen refresh rate. To do this, follow these steps: - In Control Panel, double-click Display.
- On the Settings tab, set the screen resolution by moving the slider bar to the setting that you want, and then click the Advanced button. Make sure that you use the same screen resolution setting for all monitors.
- Click the Monitor tab, and then select a Screen refresh rate from the list. Click OK two times to apply the changes.
STATUS Microsoft
