FIX: The build process stops responding when you build a Visual Basic .NET project in a large Web solution in Visual Studio .NET 2002 (824381)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to build a Microsoft Visual Basic .NET project in a Web solution that contains lots of projects, you may notice that the build process stops responding. This problem occurs in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002,

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0. The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3.
