FIX: OLEDB Error Occurs When You Receive RosettaNet Objects (824066)

SYMPTOMS

When you receive RosettaNet objects from your trading partner, the following event ID message is logged in the application event log:Event Type: Error
Event Source: BizTalk Server
Event Category: Document Processing
Event ID: 324
Description: An error occurred in BizTalk Server.
Details:

[0x1440] While trying to process document #0 during submission "{B53E5CB0-B2EA-485A-A7DF-852B942EFB21}", the parser component named "RNIFSupport.Parser.1" failed on the method "ProbeInterchangeFormat" with the error code "0x8000ffff". Possible causes are: the component found unexpected data in the incoming stream; a document specification could not be found given the data; or an internal component failure occurred. If this problem continues, remove this component from the valid list of parser components or contact your system administrator.

[0x8000ffff] Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

[0x1730] Suspended Queue ID: "{BEFF1379-641E-4A1E-9ED6-06ECEEFDCCB5}"

[0x0147] The business document that was passed in is not in a recognized format and could not be parsed or decrypted.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs because the BizTalk Server Accelerator for RosettaNet did not accept MIME messages where the Boundary property was unquoted. The hotfix that is described in this article accepts either quoted or unquoted Boundary property values.
