Microsoft Visual Studio .NET may detect the Microsoft Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies as dependencies when you create a Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Setup project (824012)

SUMMARY When you create a Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Setup project for a Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System client, for a Shared Add-in client, or for an Automation client, Visual Studio .NET detects the Microsoft Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies (PIAs) as dependencies. The PIAs are then included in the Setup project for distribution with the Setup program. Do not distribute PIAs. Instead, install Office 2003 PIAs by using the Office 2003 Setup program.MORE INFORMATIONOffice 2003 is the first version of Office to include PIAs on the Office installation media. Microsoft recommends that you exclude the Office 2003 PIAs from your Visual Studio .NET Setup program. Instead, install Office 2003 PIAs by using the Office 2003 Setup program.
